I have only gotten the menu to come up once. Otherwise I get a black screen, but I can hear the menu when I move my mouse around. As I said I got to play once after I rebooted, but that doesn’t seem to work anymore. Any suggestions?

Delete “Tobii.EyeX.Client.dll” and then try to launch the game again.

If that doesn’t work, then you’ll have to just blindly enter a level. Once you’re in, you should be able to see everything and the game should work perfectly for that entire session until you restart Overload. So if you can blindly enter a level and if doing so results in everything working, then all you’ll have to do from there is quit to the main menu and then continue as though the game started normally (or just play the level you blindly entered if you wish).

I don’t suppose you have screenshots of the menus?

    beanpole,

I’m sorry you’re having trouble. If you have time, could you try running the debug version and sending us your log file? That might help us track down the problem. Here’s what to do:

    1. In the Steam client, go to Library and find “Overload”. Right-click and choose Properties from the menu.

    2. In the Properties dialog, click on the last tab, Betas. In the input box (“Enter beta access code…”) type “debugversion”. Click on Check Code.

    3. From the drop-down menu (“Select the beta…”) choose “debug – With debug output”. Click on Close in the lower-right corner.

Steam will then download the debug version. Run the game, exit out, and email the log file to [email protected]. To find the log file:

    1. In the Steam client, go to Library and find “Overload”. Right-click and choose Properties from the menu.

    2. In the Properties dialog, click on the Local Files tab.

    3. Click on the Browse Local Files… button.

    4. In the File Explorer window, open the Overload_data folder.

    5. Grab the file output_log.txt and email it to [email protected]

    Thanks!

    – Matt
