I have a skylight above my gaming computer. This is lovely except for the several hours when the sun shines straight into my eyes. Last month I got fed up and decided to do something about it. I took one of my favorite images of all time and used Photoshop to convert it to a cross-stitch friendly format so that I can shield my eyes with:

Cool. Great idea! 🙂 Show how it looks like at the window, if not difficult.August 4, 2016 at 1:16 pm #8559
Thanks Sigma. 🙂 I’ll post further pictures at various stages. Once it’s done (which will take a long time) I’ll photograph it in the window.August 8, 2016 at 4:40 pm #8647Cathy SchneiderOverload TeamTopics: 67

Awesome! I did a bit of cross-stitch many years ago, but never had the patience for larger projects. I’m excited to see this progress.August 9, 2016 at 7:14 pm #8705
Here’s an update. I figure I’ll post a new picture as I finish each color. Not looking forward to the black/white background.

Another color done!August 17, 2016 at 3:38 pm #8864
Really cool. Volumetric and stylish.
I think I want to have something like that on one of my jacketsAugust 25, 2016 at 10:59 pm #8998
I like the jacket Idea a lot Sigma. I’ll have to look into waste canvas (a way of using this technique on any fabric).
I finished the main image!
The fun part is over. Now for the tedium of filling in the background; black on the left, white on the right. It’s going to take a long time.

As it appears it’s going to be very stylish )August 28, 2016 at 6:02 am #9015
Of course, this is not the embroidery, but simply a color print, my windows have jalousie, so I decided to decorate little bit my little Japanese lamp 🙂
It looks great during the day and especially at night.August 28, 2016 at 3:45 pm #9017
Sweet! Great idea Sigma. I’ve been considering getting transparencies printed to use temporarily because the rest of the project is going to take so long. I’m looking at a material called Duratran.August 28, 2016 at 4:46 pm #9018
I’m sure you’ll make something impressive )October 7, 2016 at 2:45 pm #9530
I suspect, Yoshimitsu wants to surprise us not only a curtain for the window =) I just lose oneself in conjectures on what he could come up with…October 26, 2016 at 2:00 am #9716
It’s been a while since I posted an update. Work continues but the rest of the project is boring and tedious; Lots of solid black and then lots of solid white. I’m still going strong though!
I’ll be starting on a new project soon as well 😉
