I know that VR has been briefly discussed but I don’t know if I’ve read anything concrete about whether or not it is actually planned.

That said, I hope that VR is planned or implemented at some point and I hope that the Vive will be supported. The price of the Vive was recently announced. It’s supposed to have superior tracking as compared to the Rift and it ships with two motion controllers, too.

Yep, we’re looking at HTC Vive and plan on supporting it along with Oculus Rift and PlayStation VR.

Does it actually require anything separate? I guess we might be too early on to have a converged API for VR, but at the very least I’d suspect this would be handled at the Unity 5 level, except for the 3D cockpit which is common across all HMDs.
