I’m genuinely surprised you’re running the game on a GTX 645. That card is 7 years old!

Sorry, but I hear that kind of comment a lot from other gamers and it’s usually condescending. Not everyone has gaming system upgrades in their budgets and I consider myself fortunate to have acquired my current system used from a friend.

Regardless of its age, my system does meet or exceed the published system requirements for Overload, so it should not be surprising that Overload runs on my system. The Revival created levels and most of the DLC levels all run smooth as glass.

The situation is what it is and I’m not expecting developers to re-optimize their levels. Apparently I am the only one experiencing lower frame rates in Opception and I can live with that. I did play around with the graphics and found the level is playable if I turn down/off all the graphics options and set the in-game resolution to 800 X 600. Eventually I will get newer hand-me-down hardware.

Also, not sure if you have discord but there it is pretty active community more so than the forums.
    Hope this helps!

Yeah, I also posted on discord. There I was mocked for not having a better graphics card. Apparently I’m the only one experiencing this issue, so I’ll just skip Opception until I can afford an upgrade.

Hello. I did create both the realtime and cinematic models of the Pyro. I probably have the model files archived somewhere, I’ll have a look and see if we can release some renders in the near future.

    Bump.

Just another gentile reminder. Any updates on the models and/or hi-rez renders?

    Thanks.

    Update:

I found a work-around for this issue. I requested GOG support to change my username on my account to that of my gemertag.

I now see there is a third leaderboard for the PS4 version. I assume they will add a fourth leaderboard for the Xbox One version as well.

The leaderboard for the Steam installation of Overload is displaying the proper player/pilot name. It’s the leaderboard for the GOG installation of Overload that is displaying my GOG account username instead of the player/pilot name.

I don’t know anything about GoG but with the Steam version I believe that it shows your Steam profile name (which can be changed in Steam).

While that is my SteamID, it is not my player name in Steam, which is “PyroJockey”. I was not launching via Steam nor was Steam running at the time.

According to Steam support you cannot change your SteamID.

Your SteamID and Steam Account Name can not be changed, even by Steam Support staff members. Your player name can be changed at any time in your Steam Community settings, under “Edit my SteamID page”.

Having my SteamID displayed on the leaderboards is not acceptable. The leaderboards should display the pilot name as set in Overload (not Steam). This needs addressed.

this could have been exactly around the time where they released the new update yesterday

That may have been the case. The issues have seemed to self resolve. The build number is 1872. Will do some more testing this week.

    Thanks.

I was using the GOG install for my previous testing and thought I’d try the Steam installs, and that presented another set of problems.

After I execute the RunDedicatedServer.bat file, the Steam UI on the local machine shows Overload as Running.

When I try to launch the game via Steam, I receive a Steam – error “An error occurred while updating Overload (app running)”

On the remote client machine, the Steam UI also shows that Overload is running.

When I try to launch the game via Steam, I receive a “Welcome to In-Home Streaming” message “You are about to run this game on another computer and play it here using In-Home Streaming”

If I click “OK” nothing happens.
