I have some very fond memories of the kickstarter, and watching this wonderful game come together. Just wanted to send my thanks to everyone 🙂November 1, 2018 at 3:05 pm in reply to: More Lights – Descent Community Album ][ release thread! #18958
Some great tracks in here! I particularly like Phozon – Ice, vision – achondrite, Diamond Wolf – March of Ares and Isaac Gallegos – Water (my favourite) – thanks for sharing!
I am not familiar with D3, however I have to say that’s a pretty darn cool ship design 🙂
The PS4 hasn’t officially released yet, but both versions should be available worldwide very soon, I predict within a couple of weeks 🙂
I bought two shirts because I didn’t know what size I’d need – I have a spare XL, PM me if u want it
I’m saving my comments until I have had time to really sink my teeth in, however I will say that I am mc-lovin it! VERY impressed and expectations exceeded!April 27, 2018 at 6:29 pm in reply to: Revival Stream guest for 5/1: Lead Designer – Luke Schneider #16978
The kickstarter did not reach the “better level editor documentation” tier, however I would like to know if Revival have plans to release anything in this space. I think that a few videos showing how to make a basic level from “woe to go” could be very useful for the community, any chance of this happening?
Sharing this update in case it is of use to any other Mac people..
My experience has been that the HTC Vive doesn’t seem to like the unofficial drivers from bootcampdrivers.com -after installing them (the Adrenalin 18.3.4 release), loading steam will crash steamVR with a 306 error. This is a shame, however I found that strangely, after rolling back to the official bootcamp drivers from apple, the performance is noticeably improved. I still had to turn down a few graphics settings, however Overload is now running perfectly in VR.
It seems the steamVR 306 error is often fixed by rolling back drivers to a previous version. I should probably try again with one of the older releases from bootcampdrivers.com, however I am happy enough with performance for now.
There is precious little info out there re: VR on the 2017 iMacs, despite them being pushed by apple as “VR ready”. I’m no expert in this area but perhaps this might help someone at some point 🙂
Is there one of these for Overload.
Yoshimitsu created something like this (and maniak1349 has one also). More info here:
You would need to check it works with the latest builds. AFAIK yoshi is still using it to collect data.
The last drop left me a tad worried re: updated explosion effects but I am very pleased with this release, everything is super satisfying. Also love that the weapons have more of an ‘electric quality’ – not sure how else to say it.
Congrats to Papersailboat for getting ‘Europa’ into the game, it suits perfectly! Original copies of ‘Workers Day’ just tripled in value, I wish I’d bought it before the track was pulled 😉
Pressing escape from the upgrades screen results in infinite loop – unable to get back to main menu – not sure if that’s known behaviour.
Playing at 1600X1200 results in hard-to-read text:
I get the same main-menu-pause as krazykrok, it seems to stutter just as the music track is loaded.
How about a Tesla roadster.
(I love the ship personally, though I agree with Yoshimitsu that the fins could easily go)
I’m not a competitive guy at all, and while I’m definitely going to put some effort in learning the ropes of PvP MP, it was some kind of co-operative challenge mode that I was really hoping for.
I am in the same boat. Will keep fingers crossed for a possible Overload 2!
Love this! Agree that concurrent release of single/multi sounds like the way to go. Keep up the great work!
Wow the new cutscenes in Overload are great, did George Lucas join the dev team? (har har har)
Entertaining video keep up the good work CB!
I do miss the fireworks. I don’t usually play the game to get better, but to relax, escape, play gunner sneakthief against evil technology and enjoy some ambient graphics and sound. I wonder if we might be able to toggle an option, have a cheat code or do something else that brings back the robot piñata effect.
Have to say I agree with this, the explosions seem empty now compared to how satisfying they were before, killing bots feels a bit like popping balloons. Not really sure exactly what has changed. (Still think they are great, just not as great)
Also.. I love the new mine exit FX!
